CURRENT SITUATION Currently when dragging a file (image, PDF, etc.) into a note, there is a popup to "Embed File || Link File". This is detailed here: https://help.noteplan.co/article/172-add-file-attachments-and-images-to-notes ISSUE When adding a lot of images into a note (which has to be done one-by-one) this is tedious and time consuming. SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT I would like to suggest a keyboard shortcut for Link and Embed, so that when the item is dropped into the note the action is determined from the shortcut. For example: Drag and drop with CMD key will embed the file. Drag and drop with OPTION key will link the file.

It would be nice to have my AI research assistant right in NotePlan. Switching apps, cutting and pasting is so 2024! 😜 For those who have entered an API key, an option to “ask AI” is added to the magic button. You tap it and you can prompt without having to select text. It inserts the answer at cursor position. Once that text is in, we can select it, summarize it, clean it up, make it into a table etc, using the other option.

Add a plugin which allows you to visually display tasks from a note in a Kanban style board. For example, you could have headers labeled ##Planned, ##In Progress, ##Done. If you opened that note in a Kanban Board, you would be able to drag/drop tasks in a horizontal format instead of a vertical note format.

When rich text is pasted into NotePlan from the clipboard or shared from another app through the share screen, NotePlan could transform it into markdown to keep the formatting similar to the source. Ideally, offer "Paste from... Rich Text / Plain Text"

So it's easier to send a note to someone or get the note into another app, like Google Docs. Current workarounds: Copying the text from NotePlan first into… StackEdit Notion … and then into Email or Google docs, etc.

At the moment NotePlan exclusively filters for dated reminders, because they can be displayed in a daily note in the right sidebar. Undated reminders have no logical place. But an extra Sidebar entry on the left called "Reminders" could be one.

Put "Archive" in the "Note" menu so we can add a custom shortcut to archive a Note. Every feature that is available via right-click needs to also be in the menus

A really handy little feature I use all the time in Obsidian would be useful in Noteplan: If you paste a URL "onto" selected text, it automatically converts the text to a markdown link. If the clipboard isn't a URL, it pastes over as normal. If the you paste a URL with no text selected, you get a Markdown URL ready for a title to be entered.

When selecting a piece of text and pasting a URL from the clipboard, it would be useful if the text was kept as the link name and that it didn't get overwritten by the website name.
