I use frontmatter for most of my notes (beyond templates) which have a number of custom "tags". Would be nice to have ability to toggle the display of frontmatter section Sample note with many frontmatter tags

Design a mechanism that allows to specify when a task is due, as opposed to when a task is scheduled to be done. Example: Mika's birthday is on July 1st. On that day I want to show up on Mika's doorstep with a present. The due date for getting that present is July 1st. But the do date might be February 3rd or June 29th, because that's when I have time to get the present. Edit: A better name for this feature might be Deadlines (see comments below). Edit: Consider adding a separate backlink item for "due soon..." items that shows them x days before the due date. How are other apps dealing with this? Edit: Consider using !date syntax for deadlines/due dates.

When I put an image into Noteplan, it is automatically converted to png. The request is to keep jpeg files as jpeg. Background: I keep meeting notes in Noteplan. Just added an 8MB high-res (48 MP) jpeg photo of a whiteboard to my notes, which was then converted to a 42 MB png. The png is noticeably slower to load (when opening in Preview) and bogs down sync. This is with "Resize imported images" turned off (with it turned on, the effect is less dramatic: it resizes my 8 MB jpeg to a 5 MB png, but the loss of quality is very noticeable when zooming into whiteboard details).

It would be great if one could forward any email to some NotePlan address and NotePlan would recognize the sender and create a note from that email. --- This could be a command bar plugin at first. We would need some script and configuration file with the email credentials and a way to download emails, then scan for "send to noteplan" flags and pull the body out, saving it into an inbox folder in NotePlan.

The visual design of the application could improve to make the overall user experience better and application easier to use. Looking to applications like Bear and Craft for examples of this.

I would like to have a way to protect (with a password, touch id, or face id) a single note or a folder.

To collaborate with other users in Team, add a "space" in the sidebar which is by default shared with one or more other users. Any notes or folders added there will be shared with the people defined in the "space". This can be also a workaround for users with two different Apple IDs.
