Apple Watch App

I currently use drafts for dictating short thoughts or to-dos into my apple watch. I then import these text snippets into noteplan later. That's the only reason I use drafts.
It would be great to have a simple apple watch app that displays the daily note or a favourite note and offers the possibility to add content to it - by dictation.

I would also like to see a simple complication, which indicates progress through todays tasks like Apples fitness rings, and that links to todays task list (like what is on the current widgets on iOS).

I personally do not have a need to see noteplan on my watch but had a strong need to add tasks from the watch. A lot of thinking takes place while hiking, cycling, etc...
It was fairly simple to create an apple shortcut to pull all reminders from my inbox to noteplan. Then I setup a shortcut automation that runs the script everytime I open noteplan. It works perfectly and allows me to add tasks to my daily note without pulling out my phone.

With the new OpenAI-Whisper dictation in place, this feels even more urgent to me. Usually during sports i have my best ideas. Right now i have to use the Apple VoiceMemo to save them when im running, think about the existence of this memo, and transcribe it later.
It would be cool if a watch app would save the dictations and run them through whisper once the phone is reachable.

Now that I’ve got my Siri Shortcut to add a new task to today’s note, it would be GLORIOUS if it could be supported on the Apple Watch. I tried to use the shortcut on my watch, but get a message saying that it needs an app. But even if Siri didn’t work, this would still have great value - either just showing today, or showing the note of my choice (like my note showing the contents of today’s gym workout while I’m at the gym!).

Or ability to add a new action to a note that ISN'T the daily note would be great! I suppose I could try to figure out the x-url scheme for it in a widget, but that's less than ideal if I want a quick way to add an action to a specific note. Also, the ability to check of said action if I want to, again not necessarily the daily note, though it could be if that is the easiest way for now.

Eduard Metzger it does seem to be about the right time to build out the Shortcuts support and the Watch companion app… 😅

A Watch App would also be nice to run NotePlan-related Shortcuts on the watch. For example: I use a widget-shortcut to create short notes in my Inbox-folder.

Marcel Dümmel: Could you share your shortcut please? :) I would like to use my Apple Watch to add content to my daily note 🤓

Ronald: This doesn't work, yet. We first need a NotePlan companion app in order to run shortcuts on the watch. For now we are limited to run shortcuts on iPhone or iPad. I use this shortcut to add text to my daily note: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/8f931283d2c8455780510855db7befdb
Comments and prompts are in german. But this shortcut should be self-explanatory. 🤓
