Often when working through notes, I want to have several open at the same time. I also want to do that without leaving the keyboard. It feels like the command bar is a great way to do that, similar to the way it works in Alfred.
In Alfred, when you search an item, you can regularly select it, or click and hold "CMD" on order to reveal more options. In this case, "NotePlan" can either be launched, or if you click "CMD", you can instead open its finder folder. Here's a GIF:
My suggestion is that we use the same behavior in the command bar. When it's not clicked, behave as-is. When CMD is clicked, offer to open things up in a new window, whether it's a new note, new task, or an existing one that you search for to easily jump between things.
This can also help somewhat with this: https://noteplan.canny.io/navigation/p/open-in-new-window-sidebar-calendar-search-review
As a side-note: I also wish the "Review" and task filters could be searchable in a similar way, and open up in a new window in a similar way. That'll allow one to easily look up segments of tasks that they have coming up without friction to the current flow.
Thank you!
