It would be really helpful if I could assign some commands to custom buttons in the UI.

Yes, it's nice to have the commands available via keyboard, but sometimes it'd be more useful if it was an actual button that was visible in the UI and not hidden behind a command box or in a sub-menu of the plugins. On Desktop, there would definitely be enough room next to the formatting menu.

I have currently solved this by having a note that has a bunch of X-Callback-URLs which are referencing today's note (something like ), but this is not really a nice solution.
