The second screenshot shows the references area of today's daily note, with that same task, but with a bullet rather than a task circle.

Thanks for sharing, I could find an issue with indentations, but not with the bullet points, however I made some changes here too. I keep trying, but maybe it's already fixed. Let me try the released version.
